"There are goats, literally, everywhere. They wander in fields along side the road, they lay in the shade just outside of restaurants, they peek from behind the trees as we walk by. Some are tethered, some roam freely - hopping through holes in chain link fences. A mother goat is tied loosely to a tree in a field, munching away completely undisturbed by the speeding traffic not more than ten feet away... her babies - no larger than a cocker spaniel - climb over each other in an attempt to eat the very best looking branches of a bush. We asked our driver about the goats - are they wild? Are they pets? "No mon, they are not wild. They belong to people, but the ones walking around... they go and eat and then they know the way home again."
