As we crested the first major hill on our climb up to Waimea Canyon, we pulled over to take in the view. We had another 20 or so miles to go to reach the primary lookout, however I was concerned that the cloud cover in the distance would mean there would be no view once we arrived, so we took the opportunity to stop during some sunbreaks and take a few photos before continuing on up the mountain.
