Floyd's Pelican Bar is constructed from driftwood and set on stilts atop a sand bar about a mile off the southern coast of Jamaica. Visitors arrive by canoe to enjoy drinks and hang on the dock, or snorkel in the waist deep waters surrounding the bar. Several of the walls are covered in messages from previous guests, however this support post had just the one bit of writing which summed up the feeling of the Pelican Bar perfectly.
