A sleeping Hawaiian Monk Seal on the shores of Kauai. These animals are endangered and endemic to Hawaii, and there are strict non-harassment laws in place to help protected these creatures. I was extremely quiet and kept my distance, relying on my great big zoom lens to take photos.
