I was walking along the beach when a volunteer waved me down to ask if I'd like to take photos of a seal (from a good distance, of course) When a seal falls asleep on the shores of Kauai, volunteers come out and set up a perimeter to keep people back. At first glance I'd thought the seal was just a brown boulder among the lava rocks.
